In his music Kani drew from UK influences with a particular perspective and worldview, resulting in a wholly unique style.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Mr Man&#8217; carries a meaningful undertone of women\u2019s rights. Kani\u2019s inspiration for the track coming in part from his work with disadvantaged women in Bouake, C\u00f4te D\u2019Ivoire through his own foundation.\u00a0<em>\u201cA lot of music these days tend to objectify women. This song is bringing a different perspective and is putting the ball in the woman\u2019s court instead of vice versa as she tries to find her perfect Man&#8221; <\/em>he explained<em>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Setting the scene with undulating synth chords and lush layered percussion, Teni opens up \u201cMr Man\u201d with an emotive refrain immediately bringing to mind the distinctive afrobeats sound of Nigeria.
