Since, Makaya has been working on an impressive body of work, releasing several projects that includes <em>Highly Rare<\/em> in 2017, <em>Where We Come From<\/em> in 2018, <em>Universal Beings<\/em> in 2018, <em>We&#8217;re New Again<\/em> in 2020, <em>Universal Beings E&amp;F Sides<\/em> the same year and of course <em>Deciphering the Message <\/em>back in 2021, cementing his reputation as a key figure on the world jazz scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<iframe style=\"border: 0; width: 100%; height: 120px;\" src=\"https:\/\/bandcamp.com\/EmbeddedPlayer\/album=1246560818\/size=large\/bgcol=ffffff\/linkcol=0687f5\/tracklist=false\/artwork=small\/transparent=true\/\" seamless=\"\" loading=\"lazy\"><a href=\"https:\/\/intlanthem.bandcamp.com\/album\/in-these-times\">In These Times by Makaya McCraven<\/a><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The eleven-track album explores \u201c<em>McCraven\u2019s personal experience as a product of a multinational, working class musician community<\/em>,\u201d as well as \u201cbroader cultural struggles.\u201d It was recorded in five different studios and four live performance spaces. It benefitted from an extensive post-production process the artist engaged in working from home. McCraven made good use of the \u201c<em>organic beat music<\/em>\u201d he has come to be known for, alongside orchestral and large ensemble arrangements.
