Manchester producers, DJs and Swing Ting‘s owners Samrai & Platt will drop their debut album 100 Dances in March.
100 Dances is the first LP produced entirely by Samrai & Platt and is the culmination of over a decade of running parties and producing tracks under the Swing Ting moniker. Their debut album features a wide range of regular collaborators as well as some new faces across the ten tracks.
100 Dances draws on the duo’s experiences throughout the Swing Ting lifespan. From early doors warmers to peak time dancefloor tackle, Samrai & Platt lay the foundation for their collaborators to shine, channeling 11 years of soundsystem navigation.
“Just a Feeling”, the first single released from this project joining Samrai and Platt forces, is a real success. It sees label co-founders Samrai & Platt on the production, providing a tough-yet-soulful instrumental for a stunning vocal performance from Somali-British singer HMD.
