Between afropunk and electro, listen to the first song of TSHEGUE

Faty Sy Savanet + Nicolas ‘Dakou’ Dacunha = TSHEGUE.

On one hand, Faty Sy Savanet on vocals, a native from Kinshasa who mixes her love for garage rock, voodoo, and tribal music with her parisian cheeky vibe. Faty was born in Kinshasa but has been living in France since her teens. Faty is also a DJ at l’Embuscade and la Mano in Paris, as well as for aftershows.

On the other hand, the talented drummer, percussionist and producer Dakou, with musical influences from Cuba, French West Indies, London and Paris. Dakou has been developping his career in the french music industry for more than a decade. Among others he played with Raul Paz, Maya Andrade, Amel Bent or Yael Naim.

The fusion between them results in TSHEGUE, a project that takes place between Kinshasa and parisian supposedly ‘no go zone’.

First EP out 9 June via Ekler’o’shock.

TSHEGUE live:
4/05 – PARIS – LES BAINS
15/07 – PARIS – AFROPUNK FESTIVAL, GRANDE HALLE DE LA VILLETTE
2/09 – NANTERRE – LA MAMIE’S – FERME DU BONHEUR
