This week Kingston-born lyricist Kabaka Pyramid joins host Max Glazer to revisit old-school New York rap and hit us with a couple of unforgettable freestyles, amongst discussing his journey in music.

Kingston-born lyricist Kabaka Pyramid is “a multi-talented artist and producer coming straight from the streets of Kingston, Jamaica with a unique musical style blending the lyricism of hip hop, with the energy and melody of reggae and dancehall. He’s known as an artist with deep spiritual messages and proven lyrical ability – he was instrumental in raising the bar on the standard of hip hop in Jamaica. We heard the MC unique musical style blending the lyricism of hip hop with the Ghanaian afropop artist Stonebwoy on the song “Borders“, produced by the legendary artist Damian Marley.
