The British-Nigerian unveils a dark music video for “Never Change”. After his participation to Richard Russel’s last LP, Obongjayar is back in solo to haunt you with his hypnotic Soul.
Duncan Loudon directed the “Never Change” visuals. We can see Obongjayar coated in dust and driving a car wrapped in cellophane.
“’Never Change’ is inspired by growing up in Calabar,” Obongjayar says. “It’s a reflection on growing older and seeing the world through a different lens, witnessing the corruptions and negativity that often surrounds us – and an attempt to maintain the innocence of childhood.”
