Maya Kamaty shares music video for 'Dark River'

The Reunion native singer shares a dreamy music video from her upcoming album, to be released on march 29th.

Four years after her debut album Santié Papang, Maya Kamati keeps on reinventing maloya through her blend of electronic and organic sounds. The track Dark River pushes these boundaries further.

Between tradition and modernity, she echoes traditional maloya instruments such as the kayamb, roulèr and takamba with powerful sub basses. She draws inspiration from both from electro-folk, trip hop and Björk’s experimental pop.

The visuals are a re-reading of a legend from Reunion island, and takes us in a dreamy journey between forrest and water.

Pandiyé will be out on march 29th on Vlad Productions. You can stream the single here.
