South African rapper Ma‑E drops a strictly kwaito music video for 'LeVibe'

Ma-E pays tribute to kwaito music and pantsula dance.

Released in February, and produced by JayHBee, Ma-E’s track “LeVibe” has now its visuals directed from the rapper himself, in collaboration with SLOWMAN FILMS. The music video was shot in the hood with some of his friends at the corner store.

We also can see some pantsula dance moves that are fitting for a song that references kwaito, the South Africa’s slow version of deep house.

Pantsula is the emblematic dance of South Africa’s townships. Discover the dance that goes head to head with the harsh reality with our feature Pantsula: 5 faces shaping the South African scene today.
