Jimi Tenor makes Ghanaian Gospel groove

The travel-oriented Finnish multi-instrumentist comes back with two tracks in collaboration with Ghanaian Gospel singers Florence Adooni and Lizzy Amaliyenga.

Jimi Tenor has been going since the 90’s, living in New York, Berlin, London and Barcelona, where he has been writting music beyond current trends. His music is a  witty brew of Psychedelic Pop, Jazz and Afro Funk.

Vocalize my Luv is an insight into his next album, which will be released later this year on Philophon. The two tracks channel Highlife, Jazz, Funk and Gospel in a lively blend, where Ekow Alabi Savage’s upfront drums lead the swing.

The singers’ voices magnify the productions, whether in English for “Vocalize My Luv” or in Frara for the Gospel classic “Ki’igba”, written by Alogte Oho.

Vocalize My Luv is out Philophon. Order it on Bandcamp.
