Beyoncé gathers Africa's best talents for The Lion King‑inspired album

The Lion King: The Gift will feature DJ Lag, Kendrick Lamar, Childish Gambino, Wizkid, Burna Boy, Yemi Alade, Tierra Whack and more…

For her Lion King-inspired album, queen of r’n’b Beyoncé took care of gathering the best talent from Africa and its diaspora.

“It was important that the music was not only performed by the most interesting and talented artists but also produced by the best African producers. Authenticity and heart were important to me.”

That is whuy she enlisted gqom pionneer , naija heavyweights WizkidBurna BoyYemi Alade and Mr.Eazi, as well as rap superstars Kendrick LamarChildish GambinoJay-Z, Pharrel and Tierra Whack to create the soundtrack for the movie.
