Mixtape: Afro-Electronic from Montréal’s Underground Scene

Congolese-Canadian DJ Bonbon Kojak from Montréal-based “afrocentric collective” Moonshine comes back with a powerful afro-electronic mixtape “Doce Doce”

The collective who hosts secret parties in town is home to Pierre Kwenders, Kae Sun, The Posterz and has featured acts such as DJ Windows 98 (Arcade Fire’s Win Butler) and Tiga brother’s Thomas Von Party from label Multi Cuti.

With “Doce Doce” Bonbon Kojak mixes afro-electronic sounds from Kwaito to Baile Funk of the favelas with mashups and remixes from artists like Mc Pikachu & Mc Brinquedo. An introduction to the sounds heard at these underground Montréal soirées.
